Successful brownfield site development funding applications: what comes next?

Back in March, Rishi Sunak announced a £400m Brownfield Land Fund dedicated to helping accelerate growth and increase housing supply across the country.

The funding was set aside to create and build more homes through the development of brownfield sites and – in a positive turn of events – the majority of the fund was allocated to Northern cities with many property developers in the North already successfully securing funding over the Summer.

However, for those who have successfully secured funding by their local council and have been given an indication as to how much of it they’ve been granted, it is at this stage where many grant recipients will have received (or will be waiting on) incredibly weighty and complex funding documents and forms to complete.

Property development solicitors help and advice for brownfield site developments

As a team of legal experts at Primas, we’re currently acting on behalf of a portfolio of property developers and brownfield site funding recipients across the north to guide them through the process of completing these substantial documents.

With high-level criteria and specific standards set out in these documents, our detailed knowledge of the required measures set out in the forms means that we’re able to do all the hard work for you.

Our far-reaching awareness of successful funding applications and documents generally also means that we can save you hours of form-filling and box-ticking.

We understand that the competition is incredibly high when it comes to securing development sites with brownfield sites in particular attracting an increasing amount of attention, but with any grant proposal, there are associated legal documents that must be completed in order for developers to receive the grant payment. Given our specific knowledge of these funds, and the documents involved, we are very well placed to help the process run as favourably, efficiently and painlessly as possible.

Our team of expert property development solicitors are experienced in the legal requirements for developers to successfully move to the next step after securing funding, and we’re currently working with clients to make the process as straightforward as possible. If you would like assistance in reviewing and considering the funding documents, and dealing with the funder’s solicitors, please contact Adam Kerr at adam.kerr@primaslaw.co.uk or on 01928 248 746.
