We’re delighted to be able to make donations and play our part in ensuring that struggling families across the North West have a happy Christmas
Christmas is a season of joy and gift-giving, which is why we’re eager to give back and support our local communities once again. This year it’s particularly important with thousands of
over the Christmas period in need of support as the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact the country.
Therefore, as a firm we have decided to support three local charities across Manchester, Cheshire and Liverpool this festive season.
Throughout December we will be setting up collection boxes and asking employees and partners to make any financial donations towards Christmas hampers which will be donated to those in need of them.
We’ll also be running a few events to raise even more funds for our chosen charities, including a football sweep for the World Cup, and a Christmas jumper day.
Our Cheshire office has chosen to donate to Warrington Open Door at Christmas.
The charity started back in 1991 in response to the rise in homelessness in the Warrington area and is led completely by local volunteers who help to offer refreshments, meals and toiletries to the homeless at this time of year.
We’re eager to collect funds and items to help as much as we can, so if any of our clients or partners would like to donate we have our own collection box in our Cheshire office. To find out more information and to donate, please visit their website.
The Wood Street Mission charity was chosen by our Manchester office. They are a children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford, and provide struggling families with children’s clothes, bedding, baby equipment, toys and books.
Every year, Wood Street Mission appeals for brand new toys, gifts and books for children aged 0-14 as part of their Christmas appeal. Struggling families are then able to come by and pick out a special gift to put under the tree for their children to open on the big day. For more information on this and how to donate visit their website here.
To show our support we have set up a collection box in our Manchester office and will be asking employees to bring in any of the necessities listed above and any financial donations that we can donate to the charity.
The KIND charity who help children and families across Liverpool and Merseyside cope with the effects of poverty and disadvantage was chosen by our Liverpool office.
Their Christmas Appeal has helped thousands of children and families in need from across Liverpool and Greater Merseyside. Teams of volunteers pack large family sized hampers with food and toys, distributing them in time for Christmas thanks to all the donations they receive.
Therefore, to support their mission we will be asking employees for any financial donations to go towards Christmas hampers. We will also be sending a few members of staff to visit the charity to volunteer to pack the hampers.

Adam Kerr, Managing Partner, said of the donations “At this time every year, we ask our team which charities they’d like to support over the festive period and it’s always great to see how enthusiastic the team is in supporting our local communities.
“We’re delighted to be able to make these donations and to play our part in ensuring that struggling families across the North West have a happy Christmas. The firm will also be adding it’s own money to top up money that we can raise.”
