2019
During their golden years in the 1990s the head coach of the Chicago Bulls basketball team, a guy called Phil Jackson, said something about teams that has since stuck with me.
He said: “The strength of the team is each individual member, and the strength of each member is the team.”
He was right and he remains so. Building a successful business is difficult to achieve on your own and scaling it even more so. What it needs is a group of people – a team of individuals with a range of talents, viewpoints and experiences – all working towards common goals.
At Primas, we’re blessed to have that in abundance across our three sites in Cheshire, Manchester and London. And we’re were delighted to announce that we’ve expanded again recently, with the appointment and retention of some of the industry’s brightest and best talent who will be based at our offices in Manchester.
It’s a statement of intent for us and we focus on a period of growth and expansion across the north west and London.
Building blocks for growth
Following a number of new property and real estate client wins, we’ve been scouring the region for young, hungry and ambitious lawyers keen to make their mark and to deliver for our clients.
As a result, we’re delighted to welcome newly-qualified solicitors, Josh McConnell and Shauna Thompson, to the company to support our growing real estate team.
Josh was trained at Pearsons Solicitors and specialises in development matters, landlord and tenant issues. He brings strong construction industry experience, and this supplements his real estate knowledge.
Shauna is a qualified Solicitor after converting from a neuroscience background and having completed her training at a registered social housing provider in Manchester. Shauna has a unique knowledge of the social housing sector, which is a key growth area for us in 2019 and beyond.
Capacity for growth
Josh and Shauna are both incredibly bright and ambitious, and come with strong pedigrees and experience. This gives us the extra capacity to take on and win more business and more cases for the clients we’re proud to support.
I’ve said it many times, but we’re earning some tremendous respect and recognition in the industry and that’s translating into a fantastic pipeline of business which makes us confident that 2019 will be a potential game-changer for Primas.
And these new appointments are a symbol of our ambition to grow and to compete against the very best law firms in the country, who we’re often sat across the table from.
As well as hiring Josh and Shauna, we’ve also retained additional bright young talent Rebecca Nichols. Rebecca trained at our company and qualified as a solicitor in late 2018, having demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and aptitude for real estate law. She has, without doubt, an incredible future with us.
We’re here to help you
We set up our Manchester-based office three years ago with just two staff members and now we’re proud to have 11 members of the team, all pushing for the same common goals.
We’re always keen to speak to people in business who want to work with a law firm that prides itself in “delivering quality as the priority”. It’s our company mantra, but it’s also true and something we put at the centre of all we do. We’d be happy to prove it!
It’s a great start to 2019 and here’s to a fantastic year, and a bright, successful future for them all. Together, we can achieve anything.
