Adam Kerr joins Futurecast podcast to discuss building a modern law firm

We’re pleased to share that Adam Kerr, Founder and Managing Partner of Primas Law, recently joined the Futurecast podcast for an honest conversation about what it really takes to build and grow a modern law firm.

In the episode, Adam speaks openly about launching Primas Law in 2014 after leaving a successful partner role to create something different – a law firm built around people, culture and straightforward advice, rather than tradition for tradition’s sake.

What followed was not a plan to build the biggest firm possible, but a clear vision to do things in a more human, practical and forward-thinking way. Today, Primas Law has grown into a multi-office commercial law firm with teams across Liverpool, Cheshire, Manchester and London.

The conversation covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • why recruitment and culture matter so much when growing a professional services business
  • how technology is already reshaping the legal sector
  • the realities of entrepreneurship alongside family life
  • why patience and forward momentum are such important qualities for founders and business leaders

It’s an open and thoughtful discussion that reflects Adam’s approach to leadership and the values that continue to shape Primas Law today.

One part of the episode that stands out is Adam’s reflection on family life and the importance of being present at home – a reminder that building a business and building a life often happen side by side.

We’d like to say thank you to the Futurecast team for having Adam on the podcast and for such an engaging conversation.

If you’re a founder, business leader, or simply interested in how the legal sector is evolving, this is well worth a watch.
